Things you will need:

The art center may have easels available, and I will bring some supplies to help you along if you don’t have a full set up, but please let me know in advance what you are missing.

An Easel(stand-up or table top):

Brushes:

a variety of brushes, including at least a couple of flat bristle brushes ranging sizes 1-6, and a few sables/synthetics.

Painting surfaces:

Canvas, linen, board: sizes between 8x10 and 16x20inches

I most commonly use:

titanium white, hansa yellow, yellow ochre, indian yellow, cad orange, cad red light, transparent iron oxide red, permanent alizerin crimson, dioxazine purple, ultramarine blue, cobalt teal, viridian green.

You may bring the colors of your choosing, but at least must have a set of primaries like: ultramarine blue, cadmium red, cadmium yellow along with titanium white. I will also bring big tubes of paint to share.

Miscellaneous:

Odorless mineral spirits for oils, or water for water based mediums, as well as a jar to put it in

Palette and palette knife for mixing colors

Paper towels (and a plastic bag for disposal)

Apron/clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
